bible darkness

Light attracts and illuminates, it beckons, and it comforts just by its very nature. In the Bible darkness and light are symbolic throughout Scripture beginning early on in Genesis.
Genesis 1
2The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters.
3Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
Starting when darkness hovered over the surface of the deep, to the end of the book, to Revelation chapters 21 and 22 where all of glory is illuminated, not by artificial light, but by the light of the One on the throne and of the Lamp. As we have read, that light will never grow dim, will always abide because God is there and in His presence and with His blessing there is light.
