The events that happened in September 11, 2001 changed the world. The airline and aviation industry was the most affected. Each time there is an airplane crash in the news, it is always followed by reports about the recovery team trying to locate the plane’s “black box”. I have read several years ago that the so-called black box is in fact not black at all. The black box as we have come to call it is actually the plane’s ELT for Emergency Locator Transmitter and one of the leading brands is the Ameri-king ELT .
There are many types and kinds of ELTs. The Ameri-king ELT is currently being used by commercial airplanes, private airplanes, small aircrafts and even military aircrafts. The ELT enables the aircraft to send signals to receivers in nearby airports and air traffic controllers. Some ELTs have a recorder that helps investigators determine the cause of a crash. In more ways than one, the ELT is a life saver.
