hand crank flashlight

Some things that you should always have in the house are flashlights and batteries. These will come in handy during a power failure due to bad weather or other natural events.

Candles can do the job too but they can cause your house to burn down accidentally. A candle that has been left untended can spread flames to the curtains, or can topple over and spread fire to nearby bits of paper. Another good alternative that is safe and even environmentally friendly is a hand crank flashlight. There is no need for batteries to make this run all you need to use is some good, old fashioned elbow grease.
