You never know when an emergency will happen so you better be prepared. There are emergency preparedness kits that you can buy that have the essentials you will need in case of any emergency. Each family member must have his or her own kit ready to go at any time. You can even have one bag prepared which you can put in the car so you can just drive away.

The emergency preparedness kits usually have a first aid kit, basic food and water that can last up to three days. Some also contain a flashlight or other signaling device. You can also find an emergency blanket in some of them. Keep in mind that it is always better to be prepared than scampering for supplies when an emergency happens.
