Hurricanes are tropical cyclones of great intensity. It involves high speed winds that spiral in toward a low pressure core of warm, calm air which is called the eye. Some hurricanes can have winds that go as fast as 185 miles or 298 kilometers per hour. This natural phenomenon form over water when there is an existing convergence of air near sea level.
A hurricane results into a disaster once it hits land. If your area is usually buffeted by hurricanes, it would be wise to have a 72 hour emergency kit at home. This kit must contain everything you and your family will need to survive for at least three days. Always be prepared for calamities as there may come a time that it would mean the difference between life and death.
