Heavy vs. Light Pool Cues

When it comes to pool cues, the tip of the billiard cue is the most important variable when it comes down to performance. A soft tip provides a high level of feel during the shot. A hard tip, however, is more resilient. Beginners are advised to start with a heavier pool cue. This helps a player stay on line longer and allow him to add spin easily.

Light billiard cue sticks require more skilled strokes but give a player added control over the speed of the cue ball. If you want quality sticks, choose name brand models like Meucci cues. These pool cues are more than enough for both recreational and competitive players.
