hearing protection devices

The maximum safe level of sound that the human ear can take on a daily basis is at 70 decibels. More than this level on a regular basis could cause hearing loss. This can be catastrophic because hearing is important to function well and independently.

However, there are different occupations and hobbies that produce sound levels higher than the recommended maximum level. Thus, there is a need for workers and hobbyists to wear hearing protection devices to prevent temporary or, worse, long-term hearing loss.
