Christmas wreaths

We often put up beautiful Christmas wreaths on our doorsteps, but we seldom bother to find out their meaning.

This is actually a symbol of growth and everlasting life, to be hung on doors, mantles, or windows. These are often made of evergreens, pine, holly berries and fruits. The circular shape and the evergreen symbolize eternity. it is also a reflection on the crown of thorns that Jesus wore during his suffering. The bright red holly berries, festive as they may seem, actually symbolize the blood that Jesus shed for our salvation.
