The issue of gun ownership has sparked a debate that has lasted through the ages. There are those who say that guns should be banned to create a safer society. There are others who say we need guns to protect ourselves from society. The truth is there is some sense to both sides. We cannot completely ban the ownership of personal hand guns, as long as the criminal elements can get their hands on high-powered weapons. We need some form of protection, and if the police force can assure the public that they can completely eliminate crime, then guns will no longer be needed except for sport.
The answer, at the moment, is responsible gun ownership. Guns should be licensed, and gun control should be implemented. With responsible ownership, it follows that gun possessors have to have the legal licenses and permits, and that it should never be brought out of the house. It also follows that regulations should be imposed on gun accessories as well. Gun owners should take extra precautions and choose appropriate and safety approved accessories such as Ross holsters for their licensed weapons.
