The guitar has been around since the early 1400s. It has evolved in design and shape as time passed by. Otherwise known as the Spanish guitar, the classical guitar is characterized by its shape, its strings and the sound it produces. Despite being called classical, this does not mean that it can only be used to play classical pieces. It’s called classical because it has been around for centuries.
Some important characteristics of the classical guitar are:1. It has six strings, typically made of nylon. 2. It is an acoustic instrument 3. It measures slightly longer than the more modern electric guitars. 4. Classical guitars are made more for plucking than strumming
