In a band or group, the rhythm section sets out the beat for the song. The bass guitar is a member of this section. Like the electric guitar, the electric bass guitar is plugged into an amplifier for live performances. A band will usually consist of wind and percussion instruments. The bass guitar is an important instrument in a band.
With all of these instruments, organizing a band rehearsal should be planned in detail. Each member should be responsible for his instrument but a band should have a van or pick up big enough to accommodate all of these instruments. List down a plan that will summarize how you will want to proceed with your practice. If you have an agenda, your productivity will be improved so many times over. Stick to your agenda and you will be finished with your rehearsals with enough time to spare.
