alto saxophone

A friend of mine wanted to learn how to play an instrument. After several years of changing his mind and going from on one instrument to the other, he finally decided on the alto saxophone. The alto saxophone I was told was the general or classic saxophone. Apparently there were other types of saxophones as well. There was the soprano saxophone and the tenor saxophone.

My friend’s choice of the alto saxophone was influenced by his fondness for jazz music. The saxophone is also used in pop music. It has its charms and its challenges. It may take a while for someone to learn to play the saxophone. It is a complicated instrument that plays wonderful music.
