There are various types of ukuleles but the four main classes are: soprano, concert/alto, tenor and baritone. The largest of these is the baritone ukulele which is the most similar to the guitar. If you already know how to play the guitar, you’ll find it easy to play the baritone ukulele too.

Tuning a baritone ukulele is simple. Many people prefer to tune it to the D-G-B-E instead of the standard G-C-E-A arrangement. This is similar to the top four strings of a guitar. A lot of musicians say this provides a richer, fuller sound.
