power amp

I used to enjoy going to large open air concerts. The sounds that blare from the power amp on each side of the stage is enough to get your heart to pound loudly in your chest. Power amps are made to sustain all the heavy metal and other loud noises from musicians. No matter how high the pitch and how odd the sounds, the amps make them even louder. Amp is short for amplifier which means to magnify, sounds are therefore magnified with the amplifier.

Power amp stands for power amplifiers; this means amplifiers that are more powerful than regular amplifiers. These types of amplifiers are used for huge venues like stadium concerts. Not all amplifiers are created equal. There are amps that are meant for school dances, private parties, hotel lounges and other smaller indoor venues. Amplifiers though are not just speakers; they come with more items such as control box, a mixer and a myriad of cables among others.
