condenser microphone

There are two different types of microphones – dynamic and condenser. A condenser microphone is what you’ll often find in studios. It has a much greater frequency and transient response. This is the ability to reproduce the speed of an instrument or voice. This microphone also generally has a louder output but is more sensitive to loud sounds.
On the other hand, a dynamic microphone is more rugged. It is resistant to moisture and other forms of abuse, which makes it the perfect choice onstage. It does not require its own power supply like a condenser microphone. Most dynamic microphones also have a limited frequency response which makes them ideal for high sound pressure levels such as those produced by loud guitar amps, live vocals and drums.
