Dragons are one of the mythological creatures that have spanned many ages and cultures. You will find dragons in the one of the oldest cultures, which is the Chinese. The Chinese portray dragons as divine creatures that bring good fortune and prosperity. It also represents power and excellence. You will also find them in other western cultures where they are portrayed as protectors of kingdoms and are loyal creatures.

But there is no one image or definition of what a dragon really is. With the wide variety of descriptions from various cultures, it is really difficult to say that there is one dragon, which started the whole dragon mythology. A lot of stories have been told and movies that were made to show the different personalities the dragons possess. And people of today still appreciate the myth and wear dragon jewelry or have figurines displayed in their homes.
