Hearing loss slows down a person’s ability to work either at home or in the office. It also exposes the person to danger. It leads to loneliness, depression, and loss of independence because it may result to less social interaction and lowered self esteem. Nonetheless, there are modern gadgets that can help the person to hear properly.

On the other hand, hearing loss can be prevented by avoiding loud noises. Here are some ways to secure your ear from any damage:

~ Avoid very loud music.
~Wear ear muffs when and where necessary.
~ Avoid putting any objects into your ear to avoid injury.
~Wear a helmet when riding a bike, or ski, because these activities have the potential to cause ear injury.
