Improve the look of your cross stitching projects. Sure, basic cross stitch is easy to do but you should also learn more techniques as your skills develop. For instance, the stab method involves moving the hand back and forth from the front to the back of the fabric. The needle with embroidery thread is “stabbed” into the front of the fabric, left there, and then pulled through from the other side.
This method is effective when using a hoop or frame since stabbing will not distort the fabric. In contrast, the sewing method is used by stitchers who prefer holding the fabric in the hand instead of in a hoop.
