pitching screen

Always pay attention to safety as there is no risk in being cautious. Whether you’re a beginner or a veteran softball or baseball pitcher, you’ll need protection for your body that is thicker than your uniform. Purchase and use a pitching screen. It can be the one of the best investments you’ll make.
First, decide what kind of screen you want. It’s important to remember that softball screens and baseball screens are different and are not meant to be interchanged. The softball is released from the hip while a baseball is released from slightly lower than the pitcher’s shoulder. If you play softball, get a screen that has a release opening slightly lower than your rib cage. If you play baseball, get a screen sized for the hole higher than the rib cage.
