snorkeling gear

Because of the sad state of our oceans and seas, there are fewer places where you can snorkel near pristine coral reefs or caverns. One of the most beautiful snorkel sites I have been to is in Palawan in the Philippines. It was truly a fun experience exploring under the sea using reliable snorkeling gear. The island that we went to is a protected area, so it was still very rich in marine life. I hope that people wake up to the fact that our coral reefs are in danger, and that if the coral reefs are gone, the fish that live in them may cease to exist.
Here are some pointers on how to help protect our marine life:
1. Do not purchase products that are made from endangered sea animals – these include tortoise shell accessories, and many of the ingredients in apothecary shops that are made from sharks, jellyfish, etc.
2. If you go to the beach, bring your trash home with you.
3. If you see trash lying around, pick it up. Better yet, organize a cleanup crew with your vacation buddies on the last day of your trip.
