Place card holders

There are a few things I would rather not see in weddings. One is the traditional bouquet throw. With the age of single girls slowly creeping up over the years, single girls are not really prone to running after the bouquet. Have you noticed how people have turned creative in twitching this ritual into other formats? One that I saw made the ritual similar to the musical chair. The first one out got the bouquet.
Another practice that could use some improvement is assigning seats to guests. Place card holders with the guest’s name or picture are set in a pre-arranged manner on the tables. In doing this, you come up with a stiff group hardly talking to each other. Why not let them choose their seatmates? Friends will naturally gravitate towards each other. There will be lively conversation and pleasant laughter. Isn’t that what we want in a wedding party?
