organic wine

The hype over organic farming has helped in creating awareness in cooking and eating more vegetables. It is a simple thing to wash and mix organically grown salad greens. It is healthy, it is easy and you can have as much variety in combinations as your creative mind can invent. This is so even with other foods. There is organic eggs, organic wine and organically grown rice.

It is said that grapes top the list of the most chemically ’sprayed’ produce in the market. This is the reason why many are seeking organic alternatives to their conventional wines. An organic wine is made from grapes that have been grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides and herbicides. All organic claims should be stated on the label and as consumers we should be careful in reading the labeling of these organic wines. Also, we should be careful with the way stores advertise and shelf the various wines. It may not be the same as what the bottle label states.
